Trump Suggests Injecting Disinfectant to Treat COVID-19
President Donald Trump has suggested the injection of disinfectant as a potential cure against COVID-19. Watch our latest video for all the details.
The US Government had organized a press conference. At this press conference Bill Bryan, the head of the Department of Homeland Security’s Science and technology division gave a presentation on the research that his team had conducted. This research shows that the virus does not live for a long time in a warmer and more humid temperature. Bryan said, “Virus dies quickest in sunlight.”President Trump then said that he was thinking if we could get ‘light inside the body’ then maybe we could cure the virus. Trump said disinfectant kills the virus in 1 minute. If we injected the disinfectant in the body maybe it could cure the virus.
Trump told Bryan to find a way to inject the disinfectant in the body so that the body can be cleaned from inside. Trump did not specify which disinfectant. Dr. Vin Gupta a Pulmonologist (A pulmonologist is a physician who specializes in the respiratory system) said that Trump is giving wrong health advice to people.
Health experts have said, injecting or drinking any disinfectant or cleaning product into the body is dangerous. Drinking disinfectant is a common way to commit suicide. The company that makes Lysol also issued a warning statement against the internal use of any cleaning product. During the daily news briefing for Covid-19, the President has again and again announced treatments that have no proof.
