Viral video shows teacher in Uttar Pradesh private school encouraging students to slap Muslim boy, sparking outrage and investigations.

A video of a teacher in a private school in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh has gone viral. In the video the teacher is heard saying slap the Muslim boy. In the video, students took turns slapping the boy while the teacher encouraged them to hit him harder. She even asked a student to hit the boy on his waist after he had already been slapped. She also blamed the mothers of Muslim children for their bad performance in studies. This caused a lot of anger. The police have seen the video and will ask the Education Department to take action against the teacher. The boy who was slapped is Muslim. The police said they are investigating whether the teacher's action was communal in nature. The Superintendent of Police, Satyanarayan Prajapat, talked about the video. He said they are aware of it and have also talked to the school principal about the teacher's bad comments. The police have informed the basic education officer and will take action against the teacher. The child rights body said it has also ordered for action to be taken against the teacher. The boy's father said he won't take legal action against the school because they have reached an agreement with the school authorities. He won't send his child to that school anymore. The school gave back the admission fee, so the father doesn't want to continue the matter. The teacher, Tripta Tyagi, said she did this because the student hadn't learned a lesson for months. She wanted to discipline him, so she had some students slap him. She said she did this because she is handicapped and couldn't do it herself. The student's uncle asked her to do it. Congress MP Rahul Gandhi reacted to the video. He said that spreading discrimination among innocent children and turning schools into places of hate is a terrible thing. He mentioned a political party and said they are spreading hate like fuel. He added that children are India's future and they should be taught love, not hate.
