Tahira Kasyap is the wife of actor Ayushman Khurana. She is a cancer survivor and keeps sharing her life and fitness journey on Instagram. Recently she was admitted to the ICU in a very critical condition for 2 days. It was because she drank Doodhi (bottle gourd) juice. Now you may wonder how can a healthy juice like that of Bottle Gourd filled with vitamins, minerals, etc send you to the ICU? Tahira shared a video on her Instagram where she explained what happened. She said, “I drink bottlegourd juice everyday with some turmeric. However that day, the juice tasted weird but I still drank it. Then I started vomiting the whole day. My blood pressure dropped to 40 and I was in a horrible condition. I was quickly taken to the hospital. The doctor said that this is because of the bottle gourd juice. When it is bitter it means that the doodhi is raw. One must never eat or drink raw doodhi when it is bitter because it contains dangerous poison and can kill a person. However I was lucky and saved by doctors on time.”
