Ex-Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj passed away on 6th August 2019. However right before she died, she had a very touching conversation with famous lawyer Harish Salve. Kulbhushan Jadhav is an Indian who was arrested in Pakistan. The Pakistan government has kept saying that he is an Indian spy. The Indian government has been trying to release him for a long time. Pakistan did not allow Indian officials to visit Kulbhushan and the Pakistan court pronounced the death sentence on him.

At Sushma’s request Harish Salve agreed to represent Kulbhushan Jadhav’s case at the International Court of Justice (ICJ). He is one of India's most expensive lawyers. He has clients such as Salman Khan and Anil Ambani, but for Kulbhushan he charged Rs. 1. Harish convinced the ICJ to allow Indian officials to meet him and put the death sentence on hold. Right before she died, Sushma spoke to Harish. He said that, “She was sounding cheerful and was very happy. She was asking me why I haven't come and meet her on this visit. I said I will come and meet her today. She said you have to come because I have to pay your fees."Her husband Swaraj Kaushal said that paying Harish was her last wish. On 27th September 2019, her daughter Bansuri presented the Rs 1 coin that Sushma had kept for him and fulfilled her wish.
