RIP Actor Robbie Coltrane and Cartoon Network

Scottish actor Robbie Coltrane, who played the role of Hagrid in the very famous Harry Potter films, has died at the age of 72.

Bringing to you a very sad news, Scottish actor Robbie Coltrane, who played the role of Hagrid in the very famous Harry Potter films, has died at the age of 72 on 14th of October 2022. The news was officially posted by his manager on social media. Robbie Coltrane was born on 30th March, 1950, in Rutherglen, Scotland, accomplished his career as an actor, comedian, and writer. He started with television working alongside Emma Thompson in the award-winning BBC mini-series "Tutti Frutti" in 1987. He came to prominence and won many awards for his portrayal of the hard-drinking criminal psychologist Dr Eddie "Fitz" Fitzgerald in the series "Cracker"  which was telecasted between 1993-2006. Apart from the television industry he has also done several memorable films but he will best be remembered globally as Rubeus Hagrid, of Hogwarts school in the film series of JK Rowling's best-selling Harry Potter books. His role in the film has brought joy to children and adults all over the world.

 

Coltrane lived with his sister Annie Rae, his children Spencer and Alice. He had divorced his wife, Rhona Gemmell, in 2003. No cause of death was given. His manager thanked medical staff at Forth Valley Royal Hospital in Larbert, Scotland. He had been ill for two years prior to his death.

People who grew up in the early 1990s or 2000s must have been fond of watching a large variety of well-known cartoon shows on Cartoon Network. These shows simply open a huge jar of priceless memories from childhood, when watching cartoons was one of the ways to escape a bad mood. The news of the closing down of the Cartoon Network shocked people around the world. However, Warner Bros Studio has now responded and clarified the news with a  tweet on 15th October 2022.The post informed that the Cartoon Network is not closing; it's just turning 30 years old. It is only merging with its parent company, Warner Bros. However, the network will continue to serve the industry even after getting merged with Warner bros.
