Narcotics  Control Bureau (NCB) is currently investigating the drug abuse angle in the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. According to reports, the NCB has found that Showik Chakraborty had been buying drugs such as ganja, marijuana etc. and was in touch with drug peddler Abdel Basit Parihar and others. Sushant Singh Rajput’s former house manager Samuel Miranda and actor Rhea Chakraborty’s brother Showik Chakraborty both were arrested by the NCB on Friday 4th september night.Their houses were raided and they were questioned for hours. After Showik’s arrest, Rhea’’s father in a sarcastic manner said, “Congratulations India, you have arrested my son, I am sure next is my daughter and I don’t know who is next thereafter. You have effectively demolished a middle class family. But of course, for the sake of justice everything is justified. Jai hind.” Along with Rhea and Showik, their father is also one of the accused in Sushant’s case that is investigated by CBI.

NCB had questioned Rhea Chakraborty for three days. On 8th September Rhea was arrested by the NCB for illegally buying drugs for SSR. Now Rhea has applied for Bail. In her Bail application Rhea said that, She was forced to make confessions during her questioning. Rhea said that she was questioned only be male officers. There wasn’t a single female officer present. In the application she retracted all the confessions she had made during the interrogation. She said that how can the NCB accuse her of buying and selling drugs when no drugs were seized from her. Because of this she can be given bail. Rhea also said that she has been getting rape and death threats for many months. She is afraid someone might kill her in jail and wants bail.
