Punjab CM Helps 10 Year Old Sock Seller

Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh offers financial help of ? 2 lakh to the family of a 10-year-old school dropout after he saw a video of the boy selling socks at a traffic crossing.

Vansh is a 10 year old boy from Punjab. A video of him emerged on Twitter. The video shows the boy selling socks at traffic crossings. When someone gives him money, he doesn’t accept it even though it is more than the actual cost of the socks. In the same video another man is recording his conversation with the boy. He asks the boy about school but the boy says He was in the second standard. However, He left his education and started selling socks on the streets to support his family. Since the video went viral on Twitter, it caught the attention of the Chief Minister of Punjab, Amarinder Singh. The CM then had a conversation with the boy, to help him. The second half of the same video shows the video call between the CM and Vansh. Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh said he has offered a financial help of Rs 2 lakh to Vansh’s family. He also said that he will speak to the Deputy Commissioner, and ensure that Vansh returns to school.
