Prince William Praised For Using Sign Language

Prince William has charmed all users by using British Sign language while conferring the Member of the Order of the British Empire.

The Member of the Order of the British Empire is a British award given for chivalry, rewarding contributions to the arts and sciences, work with charitable and welfare organisations, and public service outside the civil service.On Tuesday 14th January Prince William was at Buckingham Palace presenting these awards. Prince Willian gave this Award to Sign Language expert Alex Duguid for his service to deaf viewers. Alex has been interpreting British TV serials such as Emmerdale & Coronation Street for 30 years now. 

 

While giving the award Prince William signed in BSL and Congratulated Alex. Alex then responded in BSL and said Thank you.This video went viral all over social media. One Twitter user said: 'Well done, Prince William! Did you all know his Mum Princess Diana learned sign language as patron of the British Deaf Association?' Another said: 'How wonderful of Prince William to take the time to learn sign language. That is how a royal with integrity acts. So incredibly thoughtful.'
