Poonam Pandey Detained in Goa
Model-actor Poonam Pandey has been detained by the Goa police for filming an obscene video in the state.
Model-actor Poonam Pandey had filmed a video in Chapoli Dam in Canacona. The women's wing of Goa Forward Party filed a complaint against Poonam for shooting the video. They said the video is very indecent and vulgar. Poonam, who had been staying at a hotel in North Goa, was taken for questioning by cops. Two officials - police inspector Tukaram Chavan and a constable - have been suspended for allegedly allowing the actor and other crew members to film the said video. The controversy also took a political turn, with the Goa Forward Party demanding the resignation of Chief Minister Pramod Sawant.
Durgadas Kamat, vice-president of GFP said: "The video was shot at Chapoli Dam in Canacona. The area is highly secured...The BJP government led by Pramod Sawant is promoting Goa as a place where people can come and shoot such dirty videos. It is spoiling the name of Goa.” People on Twitter were very angry. They said earlier when model Milind Soman had posted a nude picture of him running on a goa beach, he was much appreciated by people. But people on Twitter pointed out the hypocrisy of Goa people for targeting Poonam Pandey but applauding Milind Soman.
