PM Modi Returns to India After US Visit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in India on Sunday afternoon after his three-day landmark visit to the United States of America.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in India on Sunday 26 September afternoon after his three-day visit to the United States. This is Modi’s first international trip after the COVID pandemic. PM Modi gave a speech at the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). During his speech Pm Modi said that Pakistan has been using terrorism to become powerful and they gave money to Taliban to take control of Afghanistan. Modi has said that he will not at all tolerate terrorist attacks and will surely fight back. He also had individual meetings with US President Joe Biden & US vice president Kamala Harris. The meeting's aim was to strengthen business work and relations with the USA. Especially during the COVID pandemic US & India faced so many problems. In the meeting with Biden & Modi promised to support each other if any problem happens. The U.S.A, Japan, Australia and India have formed a group called ‘QUAD’. The aim of the group is to think of ways to stop China from dominating the world business and capture land in other countries. The group held a meeting in which Naredra Modi, Joe Biden and Australia PM Scott Morrison  and Japan PM Yoshihide Suga attended. 

Spokesperson of the ministry of external affairs (MEA), Arindam Bagchi, said Modi’s US visit was extremely successful and will be remembered for years to come. While returning, Modi brought back 157 historical artifacts like statues, paintings, etc. which had been stolen from India long back and had been found by US police officials. These artifacts include statues and items belonging to Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism. Earlier many important historical items used to get stolen from India, But now modi is working closely with various countries to bring these back to India. Prime Minister Modi landed in Delhi at around 12:15pm on 26 september at the Palam Technical Airport in Delhi. Prime Minister Modi was greeted by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president JP Nadda and other BJP leaders who congratulated him for the successful US visit. Folk artistes from different states in their traditional costumes greeted the prime minister playing different kinds of drums and musical instruments. Modi also walked for 2-km and greeted his supporters who were waiting for him near the airport.
