Now Farmer's Daughters Fight for Loan Waivers

Daughters of farmers from Maharashtra demand the government to waive the loans of their fathers.

Two years back, farmers from a small village in Puntamba, Maharashtra had demanded the government to waive their loans. Because of their efforts, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis announced the waiver of loans worth Rs 34,000 crore in June 2017. Unfortunately very few farmers were able to benefit from this.

The daughters of these farmers have again demanded the government to waive their fathers loans and provide different services to help the farmers generate a stronger yield.
