New York Subway Shooter Frank James Arrested

New York police have arrested a suspect accused of shooting 10 people on a packed subway car, authorities said, following a day-long manhunt for the fugitive gunman.

Yesterday we released a video about a shooting in Brooklyn, New York. 10 people were shot in a subway train. Now in a latest update, on 13th April 2022 the man suspected of the shooting Frank James, 62, has been arrested by the police. The way he got arrested is very interesting, let me tell you. Witnesses described the shooter as a heavyset Black man wearing a construction jacket. The police had found a gun, a neon construction jacket, ammunition magazines and a hatchet at the platform. When they checked the details of the gun, they realised it was owned by James and purchased in Ohio in 2011. They also found a credit card. When they checked the credit card details they found that James had rented a U-Haul.The police traced the U-haul to a place called Kings Highway Subway Station. When they reached the station, they found the van but not James. They checked the CCTV footage at the station and found that he boarded a train and that's how he did the shooting.

After opening fire on the train, when the platform was engulfed in smoke and there was a lot of commotion, James boarded a train across the platform and ran away. The police then found that he lived in Philadelphia and searched his home. There they found an empty magazine for a Glock handgun, blue smoke canisters and other ammunition. They even found multiple rambling videos posted on a YouTube channel. James talked about violence and mass shootings in the videos. In another video posted last week, James complains about abuse in churches and racism in the workplace, using very bad language. On Monday 11th April, he uploaded a video where he said he wanted to kill people who had hurt him. The police realized he was a very dangerous person and released a picture of James to the public and told everyone that if they see him, they must call the 911 police number immediately. On 13th April, the authorities got a call saying that he is Frank James and he had seen his face on the TV news. He realised the police were looking for him so he called 911. He told the operator that he is at McDonald's on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. When the operator asked for his mobile number he said, he could not give the number but he would be inside Mcdonalds charging his phone so the police can come there. Then the call got disconnected.

Initially the police were very suspicious. Then after a few minutes, another person called 911 and informed them that they had spotted James in Mcdonald’s. Immediately police officers arrived at the McDonald's but did not see him. Then a person outside the fast food joint, told the cops that James was down the street. That;s when the police went and arrested him. The police have started questioning him but the motive of the shooting is not yet known. James had nine prior arrests in New York and three arrests in New Jersey between 1992 to 2007, for possession of burglary items, sexual offences, theft, trespassing etc. Now that he has been arrested his sister was found. James' sister, Catherine James Robinson, told The New York Times that she was "surprised" to see him named as a suspect, adding: "I don't think he would do anything like that."
