Modi Delivers Strong Speech at “Howdy, Modi!” Rally

PM Modi attended the ‘Howdy, Modi’ event along with President Trump. PM Modi delivered a strong speech to more than 50,000 Indian-Americans

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday, 23rd September 2019 attended the “Howdy, Modi!” Rally in Houston, Texas where more than 50,000 Indian-Americans were present. For the first time there was such a large gathering of people in the USA for a foreign leader visiting the USA. The crowd welcomed Modi with loud cheers and applause. President Trump also came for the event. This is the first time that Modi and Trump have been on stage together.  Many America politicians also attended the event. With President Trump sitting right in front of him, PM Modi strongly said that Pakistan has been helping terrorists and terrorists leaders and now it is time to strongly fight terrorism. PM Modi also told the crowd to stand and clap for President Trump as he has strongly fought terrorism. 

PM Modi did not mention Pakistan but said that there are people in the world who can not manage their countries but want to interfere in India. Modi asked the crowd, Where were the terrorists of the 9/11 and 26/11 attacks? PM Modi also said “Abki Baar, Trump Sarkar” which means Trump will be elected to become President again. This is similar to the phrase “Abki Baar, Modi Sarkar” which was used during the Indian elections. Modi also said Trump’s leadership, his lo0ve for America and his belief in America, Will help the country progress. Both the leaders praised each other and promised to work together so that both India and USA develop. President Trump said that security at the border is important for the USA and knows it is important for India as well. PM Modi willo now go to New York to attend the 74th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
