Meet India's First Robot Vyomitra

ISRO’s first humanoid Vyomitra will be sent to space with the other astronauts in the Gaganyaan projects.

ISRO is now working very hard on the Gaganyaan project, which aims to send 3 Indian in space by 2022. If India succeeds, India will send a human in space for the first time.I am sure you all have dreamed of going to space. Do you know who will be the first Indian to go to space? It will be Vyomitra. Who is she? Well she is a humanoid.

Vyomitra was recently developed by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). She was unveiled at a Bengaluru event.Vyomitra will be sent to space along with the three astronauts. She impressed audiences by talking and saying that she can ‘mimic’ the activity of a crew of astronauts and “recognise them and respond to their queries”. ISRO said she is the “first female” astronaut.

Even though the Chandrayaan-2 project failed, ISRO has not given up hope and are working very hard. They have convinced PM Modi to give them funds for the project as well.Despite facing criticism for endorsing funding for space travel whilst India battles with economic issues as a developing nation, Chief K Sivan insists that space innovation encourages the youth of India to think big.
