Man Suspected of Coronavirus Refuses Quarantine

In a first, Punjab police have ordered to arrest individuals who refuse to be quarantined for coronavirus.

The dangerous Coronavirus has spread all over the world including In Kerala, India.In the initial stages, the infected patients catch flu, but in severe cases, the disease leads to pneumonia, multiple organ failure, and sometimes even death. As per reports, the coronavirus has taken the lives of 490 people in China and infected thousands. A week ago, a 38-year-old man took a flight from Canada to Punjab. He had a 9-hour stop over at the Shanghai Airport. 

When he reached his home in Kotkapura, Punjab, he started feeling feverish and had a cough. He went to a local hospital where doctors saw that he had all the symptoms of Coronavirus. The doctors took his blood samples.The Hospital Authorities advised him to stay in an isolation ward in the hospital. The man then returned home. Hospital authorities became very worried because they could spread the virus to others. 

The hospital then approached the Deputy Commissioner of police.The DC ordered the police to make sure the man was put in an isolation ward. The DC told the police if the man resists, then the police must arrest him and put him in isolation. When the police went to the man's house the man accepted to go into isolation as he did not want to be arrested.This is the first time the police have ordered to arrest people who refuse to be quarantined.
