Man Flies Solo in 360 Seater Emirates Plane
Implausible though it may seem, but under certain unusual circumstances a mere Rs 18,000 can fetch one an exclusive travel experience on board a Emirates aircraft.
This may seem impossible, but 1 man traveled from Mumbai to Dubai for Rs 18,000 and he was the only person on the flight! It was like a private flight for him. Bhavesh Javeri, is a 40-year-old man. He is the CEO of Stargems Group. He booked a ticket for Rs 18,000 from Mumbai to Dubai on 19th May on an Emirates flight. Javeri said he really enjoyed the experience of traveling alone and felt very luxurious. Javeri said that the air hostesses clapped for him when he boarded the aircraft. The Pilot waved at him from the cockpit and even came to him for a chat. The pilot jokingly asked Javeri whether he would like a full tour of the airplane. The entire aircraft was vacant, but Javeri chose to sit in seat 18 A, as 18 is his lucky number. Even the inflight announcements were made with a personal touch. For example, “Mr Javeri, please fasten your seat belt...”, “Mr Javeri, we are preparing to land…”. After landing, he walked out and picked up his bag, which was the only one lying next to a conveyor belt.
This Emirates flight had about 17000 kg of fuel which was worth Rs 8 lakh. So why did the company waste Rs 8 lakh over 1 single person? They could have postponed the flight instead of suffering a big loss, right? Under the current travel restrictions put in place by the UAE, only its nationals, holders of UAE Golden visa and members of diplomatic missions can fly from India to UAE. This is why hardly many people are able to travel. But Mr. Javeri is a golden visa holder.
