Maid Cooks Food in Urine, Owner Family Suffers Liver Problems

A housemaid in Ghaziabad was arrested for mixing her urine in her employers' food as an act of revenge, leading to widespread shock and disgust.

In a shocking and disgusting incident, the Ghaziabad police arrested a 32-year-old housemaid, Reena, for mixing her urine in the food of her employers. Reena had been working for Nitin Gautam, a real estate businessman, and his family in Shanti Nagar Colony, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, for the past 8 years. One of her daily duties was to prepare the dough for the family's rotis.

Over time, Gautam and his family started suffering from frequent illnesses, mainly liver-related problems. The cause of their health issues remained unknown for a long time. Gautam’s wife, Rupam, began suspecting something was wrong with Reena and started keeping an eye on her activities in the kitchen. Gautam also became more alert.

On 14th October 2024, Gautam secretly recorded Reena on his mobile phone. The video showed her closing the kitchen balcony door, hiding near the fridge, lifting her kurta, and urinating in a steel bowl. She then used that to knead the dough for the family's meals. Gautam immediately filed a police complaint and submitted the video as evidence.

Gautam and Rupam were shocked and disgusted by Reena’s actions. They never suspected her of doing something so horrible, despite a recent theft in their house.

During the police investigation, Reena initially denied the allegations. However, when shown the video, she confessed. She claimed her actions were driven by revenge, as she was often scolded for small mistakes. Reena was arrested on 15th October 2024 under Section 272 of the BNS law, which covers acts that can spread dangerous diseases.

After her arrest, the video was shared online on 16th October 2024, quickly going viral. Social media users have expressed their disgust, with many also making jokes about the situation.

Similar incidents have been reported in other parts of Uttar Pradesh, involving maids and restaurant workers mixing urine, human waste, or spit into food. As a result, the Uttar Pradesh government announced on 15th October 2024 that they will introduce a new law against sellers who hide their identity and mix human waste or harmful substances in food or drinks.
