Kerala Road Flooded with Plastic

The entire country is experiencing floods. However, the floods in Kerala were a little different. Check out the video, to know why!

We have been throwing plastic in the ocean for years. We don’t even think twice before we throw plastic on the road. We are taking nature for granted, overusing our resources and not taking care of Earth. But recently all across India, the ocean is sending back all the plastic that we have thrown in the oceans in the past years.

IFS officer, Parveen Kaswan took to his Twitter account to share a picture of Palakkad, Kerala. The pictures shows an area in Kerala flooded with plastic bottles that the water brought with it. With the picture he wrote, Home delivery!! The view is from Palakkad, Kerala. Water returning the favour & all the plastic we gifted it. Plastic is forever. Similar images were seen in Mumbai not long ago at the Marine Drive. Heavy currents of water brought back all the plastic we throw and the roads were full of plastic waste.

The image has left Twitter furious and people are leaving all kinds of comments on the now-viral thread. Some comments are also providing ways on how the plastic can be converted into energy. After looking at these pictures, I think it is high time we start taking care of nature otherwise nature wills top taking care of us.
