Actor Juhi Chawla, who is also an environmental activist, has filed a suit against the implementation of the 5G network in India.

Currently 4G networks provideå connectivity to most cell phones. 5G wireless network is set to be implemented in the next few years around the world and will replace 4G.  Many people around the world are against 5G because it can harm humans and the environment. Juhi Chawla said that, “I am not against technology. However there is much research and studies that say 5G wirefree gadgets and network cell towers give out radiation. If 5G is set up, then every human, animal, bird, insect and plant on earth will be exposed to such dangerous radiation. This will affect the health and safety of Indians and permanently damage our environment.”

In her complaint Juhi Chawla said she wants the 5G authorities to certify to the public at large that 5G technology is safe to humankind, man, woman, adult, child, infant, animals, and every type of living organism, flora, and fauna. The complaint was heard by Justice C Hari Shankar. He has transferred the complaint to another group of judges and the hearing is on June 2.
