FaceApp is an App that allows users to see how they will look after 40 years through an age filter. There are millions of people, including people in India, who are transforming their current photos using age filters to see how they will look like when they are old. They are also sharing these pictures on social media. People are even using this App on celebrities to see how they will look if they are old. In general all photo editing Apps have access to the personal photos and data stored in the mobile.

The App is being used in more than 121 countries. This App was originally launched by a Russian company. Many believed that people's personal data was not safe. They said that data was being sent to Russian servers and the Russians were able to access a person’s entire photo gallery. FaceApp’s terms and services ask for complete permission to use your content. This means any photos uploaded to use any filter can be used by the company anywhere in the world. The person may not even know about it. They will not pay the person for using their data as well.

FaceApp founder Yaroslav Goncharov clarified and said that the App’s privacy policies are strong and no data is transferred to Russia. The App has had over 100 million downloads within a short time but is losing users due to its weird policies.
