Iran, Kuwait, Qatar & Other Gulf Countries Angry on India?

BJP’s National Spokesperson Nupur Sharma during her live debate, made insulting comments on Prophet Muhammad, who is the founder of Islam.

However, soon after she made the comment, it went viral which faced a huge backlash by muslims not just in the country but from Muslim’s around the world.

There was an uproar (very angry) in three nations – Iran, Kuwait and Qatar. 

India shares close ties with all these nations. 

Earlier Qatar's foreign ministry summoned Indian ambassador Deepak Mittal and handed him an official note, expressing disappointment and total rejection of the BJP leader’s comments against the Prophet. 

Iran News agencies also mentioned that the indian Ambassador in Iran was also sumoned for the unacceptable remarks made by Nupur Sharma on Islam & Prophet Muhummad.

Moreover, Kuwait's deputy foreign minister for Asia handed over a note of protest to the Indian envoy over the issue.

Also, In a video, posted by the Arab News, in a superstore in Kuwait City some people are seen bringing down Indian teas and other products from their shelves and denouncing the remarks as “Islamophobic.”,

they mentioned that they'll be boycotting Indian products because of the  unacceptable remarks made by a BJP spokesperson about Prophet Muhummad.

Now BJP immediately suspended Nupur Sharma and removed her from the membership of the party, also BJP’s Delhi Media Cell head Naveen Jindal has also been expelled from the party for his tweets against Islam and Prophet Muhummad.

The ambassadors of India tweeted that, the government of India respects all religious values and relegion and the remarks made by the BJP spokesperson are definitely not acceptable.

The action taken by BJP, however, has impressed most of the gulf countries as they have been seen welcoming the decision of the India government to suspend the accused political leaders.
