India Seeks Pulwama Terrorist's “Virtual SIM” Details

The Jammu and Kashmir Police are still investigating the Pulwama attack. During their investigation they found that, the Jaish-e-Muhammad’s (JeM) suicide bomber Adil Dar, who was responsible for the Pulwama attack used a SIM card from a company called “Virtual SIM”. The “Virtual SIM” which is a American service provider used by many terrorists in Pakistan.  

A person does not need a local registered SIM card to use this service.The mobile number is computer generated and can be used in any country. The person will have to download the mobile App to make phone calls via the virtual number. This virtual number can be linked to different social networking sites like WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram or Twitter.The Verification code required to activate these accounts, is sent on the person’s smartphone.

Through this number a person can make and receive phone calls from 50 different countries. This company does not put a limit on the number of SIM cards a person can own. Adil Dar made many phone calls from the Tral area in J&K, by using this SIM to stay in touch with his handler Mudassir Khan who was the mastermind of the Pulwama attack. He even used this SIM to make frequent calls to the JeM group in Pakistan.Officials have sent a request to the company to send all the details of the phone number used by the terrorist.
