India Government Cancels Visas Due to Coronavirus

With WHO declaring the Coronavirus to be Pandemic, Indian government has quarantined the country and suspended all tourist visas.

The Coronavirus is quickly spreading all over the world. Now the WHO has officially declared the Coronavirus to be Pandemic.Now the Indian Health Minister Harsh Vardhan has decided to cancel all tourist visas and not allow any foreigner to enter the country. Only visas of government officials, UN officials and WHO officials will be allowed to enter the country.This will last till 15th April. 

Indian origin people who are citizens of other countries are given OCI cards by the Indian government. Because of the OCI cards these Indians can travel to India without a visa. But due to the spread of the virus, the Indian government will not allow them to enter the country.If any person wants to travel to India, they have to provide a strong reason after which the Indian government will decide whether to give the visa or not. 

There are 60 cases of the coronavirus in India. No deaths have been reported so far. The government has advised people from participating in large events and gatherings.All over the world there are 1,20,000 cases of the virus and 4300 people are dead. Even the US has cancelled all visas for tourists all over the world. 

Italy has announced 200 deaths. Champions League Football matches will now be played without an audience in an indoor stadium.More than 16 countries have closed their schools. Denmark is on a 14-day lockdown. Now even the Delhi government has announced that all schools, colleges and movie theatres will be shut till 31str march to prevent an outbreak of the virus.
