Heatwave in USA, Canada & India

The Indian Meteorological Department has said that due to dry and hot winds coming from Pakistan, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, north Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and north West Madhya Pradesh will experience a heatwave for the next two days. “Heat Wave" is when the temperature is more than 40 degrees Celsius. On 29 June, Delhi witnessed the first severe heat wave of the year with the temperature rising to 43 degrees Celsius, the highest this year so far. Usually, Delhi witnesses heat waves till June 20 but this time the high temperature will continue in July because of delay in rains. Even the USA - Washington and Oregon & Canada’s British Columbia, are experiencing a very bad heat wave. In British Columbia’s Lytton village there was a fire because of high temperatures. More than 100 people had to be evacuated. Experts say that these places are experiencing the highest temperatures in history and this is happening because of climate change. Because of the high temperatures, many people have lost their lives.
