The Haryana transport department has kicked-off a new training programme for around 10,000 bus drivers and conductors to teach them and train them on how to behave with women and other passengers. The program is called Safe Gaadi and is already being run in all districts of the state and over a dozen have been completed already.

They will be trained on professional behaviour and on how to deal with stress during their duty. They hope to help the drivers gain knowledge on having a positive behaviour as part of their work ethic.

The trainers have been visiting each department and having training sessions that last 2 hours, they provide certificates, hand-outs and material to help with communicating with passengers.   Also, they will help with drivers dealing with stress on the job and how to manage it and not let it affect the job.
