Gurugram Biker Hit by Car: Accused Gym Owner Arrested

A woman biker in Gurugram was hit by a car in a viral road-rage incident, with the accused gym owner now arrested and booked for attempt to murder.

A woman biker was hit by a car in Gurugram, and the accused has been arrested.

The incident happened on 13 September on Golf Course Road. Shivani Chauhan, known as Sia, was riding with a group of bikers when a white car followed them and hit her motorcycle. The crash was caught on camera, and the video later went viral.

Sia survived but was injured.

Police identified the driver as 33-year-old Kalyan Bainsla, a gym owner and former international kabaddi player. After the video went viral, he switched off his phone and fled to Rajasthan, where police arrested him. His cousin Lovenish Gurjar, who was also in the car, was arrested as well.

Police have added an attempt-to-murder charge and are also investigating allegations of stalking and other offences.

Bainsla has denied deliberately hitting Sia, saying it was an accident. He claimed he feared the bikers might attack him, which is why he left.

Sia questioned this explanation, saying, “If you felt so sorry for me, why didn’t you stop?” She said he should have stopped to check on her and that the crash could have been fatal.

The investigation is still ongoing!
