Govt to Help Recover Lost/Stolen Mobiles

The Indian government’s Department of Telecommunications has developed a new technology that will help track smartphones.

These days a smartphone has become everyone’s prized possession. This is due to expensive mobile phones as well the fact that nobody can live without their mobiles. Now there is a good news for all of you. The government’s Department of Telecommunications has developed a new technology. They will launch a new technology that will help track stolen or lost mobile phones. This new technology will be able to track a phone even if a SIM new card has been inserted or even if the IMEI has been changed. The government will launch this technology in August. The Department of Telecommunications started working on this project in July 2017.

Their was to reduce circulation of fake smartphones and also reduce cases of theft. When a phone is stolen the person has to complain to their service provider (Airtel, Vodafone,etc.). The service provider will then blacklist the mobile phone share the data with the government as well. The new technology will make sure that the stolen/lost phone can not be used even after inserting a new Sim card.
