Elderly Man Dragged by Two Wheeler in a Road Rage Incident
In the video that surfaced online from Banglore and is now going viral, one can see a man being dragged by a biker on his scooter.
It's not even been a month since the horrific hit and drag case of Anjali Singh was brought up into attention and another such incident has taken place now in Karnataka’s capital city, Bengaluru. In an incident similar, a 71-year-old man was dragged by a scooterist on a busy road in Bengaluru in broad daylight on 17th of January. The video of the incident has gone viral.
This incident happened after the scooter rider, Sahil, had collided with the car of the senior citizen identified as Muttappa. When the elderly man confronted Sahil, he tried to flee from the scene; but the elderly man lunged and grabbed onto the scooter. The 25-year-old rider did not stop, so Muttappa was dragged behind the scooter. Later, an autorickshaw driver overtook Sahil and blocked him. “The reason is accidental touch between the two-wheeler and the Bolero,” DCP Laxman Nirbargi said to the media. At the end, the biker was stopped by another biker and a rickshaw driver who were in his pursuit. The man who was dragged behind stood up. His pants were torn a bit after being dragged.
The local police have taken up the matter in their hands after the video went viral on the internet. The victim was hospitalized after the incident while the bike rider is held by the police. The victim is currently under medical treatment a city hospital. The two-wheeler driver has been arrested by the police at PS Govindaraj Nagar said DCP West Bengaluru. This ultimately turns out to be a case of road rage because of a small accidental touch between the two. The Lucknow police are now frantically searching for a young couple, seen romancing on a moving two-wheeler in the busy Hazratganj area, police said. The video, apparently taken from a vehicle moving behind the couple, has gone viral on the social media. As soon as the video went viral, the police started investigating the footage
