Donald Trump’s Hindu Team; Elon Musk’s DOGE Take Over

Trump's presidency is stirring controversy, from abortion policy changes and the "4B" movement to new government initiatives and luxury escape tours for those unhappy.

As Donald Trump prepares to begin his second term as President of the United States, controversy has already started. His policies on abortion have led to major protests, while new government actions are causing concern both in the US and worldwide.

Abortion Debate & "4B" Movement:

During his first term (2017-2021), Trump declared that he was “pro-life,” meaning he believes abortion should be limited or banned. This view is in direct conflict with those who are “pro-choice,” who believe women should have the right to decide about abortion.

In 2022, the US Supreme Court, with help from Trump-appointed judges, overturned the landmark Roe v. Wade decision, which protected women’s right to have an abortion.

As a result, many women in the US started the “4B” or “4 NOs” movement, inspired by South Korean women. The movement’s main idea is for women to avoid relationships with men who support Trump’s policies. It includes "no dating, no marriage, no sex, and no children" with Trump supporters.

Many women are also buying abortion pills in large numbers as a backup, with one major supplier, Aid Access, receiving 10,000 requests just one day after Trump’s election.

Tulsi Gabbard Appointed as Director of National Intelligence:

In another major development, Trump has appointed Tulsi Gabbard, a Hindu American, as the new Director of National Intelligence. This position gives her control over all 18 US spy agencies, including the CIA and FBI. Gabbard is known for being a strong supporter of India and has criticized Pakistan’s policies on terrorism.

New Government Agency: DOGE

In an effort to make the US government more efficient, Trump has launched a new department called DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency). Inspired by Elon Musk's idea, DOGE will focus on reducing government waste. Musk, along with businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, will help identify areas where government spending can be cut, possibly leading to job cuts in government offices. With America’s national debt reaching $36 trillion, Trump aims to reduce this burden by cutting unnecessary expenses and using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to improve government services.

"Skip-Forward" Cruise Tour for Trump Opponents:

Many people are unhappy with Trump’s presidency and want to avoid the stress of living in the US during his term. A US-based company, Villa Vie Residences, has launched a "Skip-forward" world tour for those looking to escape. The tour is a luxury cruise that will take people to over 150 destinations worldwide. With packages ranging from 1 to 4 years, it offers a peaceful escape from US politics, with a cost of around $40,000 per year. The cruise will have all the comforts of home, including co-working spaces, libraries, and health facilities.

Trump’s presidency has sparked both support and protest. While some Americans plan to join the Skip-forward tour, others are rallying for change in policies like abortion. With new government initiatives and appointments, the impact of Trump's decisions will continue to be felt across the US and beyond.
