Donald Trump Calls India Filthy

On Friday during his final faceoff at the Presidential debate with Joe Biden, President Trump called India filthy. Joe Biden criticizes Trump over his remarks.

Before the USA’s Presidential Elections Donald Trump & Joe Biden faced each other in the last debate on 22nd October 2020 in Nashville, Tennessee. During the Debate Trump said that he will not allow the USA to sign the ‘Paris Accord’. The Paris Accord is a global agreement that is made by various countries to reduce environmental problems. After the agreement countries impose many rules on factories and companies to make sure that they do not harm the environment while manufacturing products. Trump said the US will not sign the agreement because millions of people in the US will lose their jobs and companies will suffer because of the rules.

He then said "My government is working very hard to protect the environment. But Look at China, how filthy it is. Look at Russia. Look at India. The air is filthy. Filthy means dirty. Many in India are very angry over Trump’s comment. Because Trump and Prime Minister Narendra Modi share a cordial relationship. Trump has even called Modi a close friend of his but now he is calling India words like filthy.

After Trump said this, Joe Biden said Trump was wrong to call India dirty and said that Trump does not understand the environmental problems of the world. Then on 25th October morning Biden Tweeted: "President Trump called India filthy. It's not how you talk about friends-and it's not how you solve global challenges like climate change. @KamalaHarris and I deeply value our partnership with India. We will make sure we respect our friends.”
