Did Taarak Mehta’s Sodhi Plan His Own Disappearance?
Former TMKOC actor Gurucharan Singh's disappearance raises suspicions of planned disappearance amid personal and financial troubles, as Delhi Police intensify investigations.
The case of Gurucharan Singh, famously known for his role as Sodhi in the TV series Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (TMKOC), has taken a puzzling turn since his disappearance in Delhi on 22nd April 2024.
Six days after Singh went missing, the Delhi Police registered his case as a kidnapping under IPC Section 365 and initiated a thorough investigation. Singh's last known location was traced to Palam, just a few kilometers away from his residence, before his phone switched off on 24th April 2024.
During the investigation, police uncovered details about Singh's personal and financial struggles. He was reportedly facing a financial crisis and had withdrawn a significant amount of money from an ATM in Delhi on the day of his disappearance. Additionally, Singh's habit of maintaining multiple email accounts raised suspicions, as did his frequent visits to a meditation center associated with a specific sect in Delhi.
With Singh's birthday passing on 12th May, his father, Hargit Singh, expressed concern and uncertainty about his son's well-being. In an emotional interview, Hargit revealed that Singh had assured him of returning in a day or two to share any troubles he was facing.
Despite extensive efforts by the Delhi Police, Singh remains missing for over 20 days. Speculations arise that Singh may have orchestrated his disappearance due to mounting personal and financial pressures.
TMKOC operations head, Sohil Ramani, confirmed the Delhi Police's visit to the show's set but asserted that the production owed no dues to Singh.
As the investigation continues, Singh's family and relatives fervently pray for his safe return, while the public speculates on the possibility of Singh planning his own disappearance amidst his challenges. The mystery surrounding Singh's disappearance deepens, leaving many unanswered questions.
