Deaf Girl from Noida Participates in Miss World Deaf
21-year-old Vidisha Baliyan, Deaf Girl from Noida will represent India in the 2019 Miss Deaf World beauty pageant in South Africa.
Vidisha Baliyan from the Noida has become Miss Deaf India 2019 and will be participating at the Miss Deaf World pageant in South Africa later this year. Vidisha; a 21 year old athlete has won a silver medal at the International Deaf Olympics for tennis. She is 100% deaf in one ear and 90% in the other. The organisers of the international beauty pageant have accepted her application from India and with the help and support of paralympian Deepa Malik. Deepa herself is a Para-Athlete and was the first Indian to win a medal at the Paralympic Games in 2016.
Her NGO Wheeling Happiness will be sponsoring Ms. Baliyan and help in creating a profile video for the contest and getting her ready for South Africa. Coming from a humble background, Vidisha is concentrating on training and her grooming. She is learning things like; walking the ramp, posing for photographs and learning traditional dance form, etc. She will need all these skills she at the pageant. The people of Noida are helping a lot with her transformation supporting her with locations for photoshoots, make-up grooming and wardrobe.
