Dabur, Patanjali & Others Have Bad Quality Honey

In December 2020, the Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) conducted a test and found that honey of brands like Dabur, Patanjali, Zandu, Apis Himalaya are of substandard quality. Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration on Monday 9 August said that the department has decided to test the quality of all the different brands of honey that are sold in Maharashtra. FDA took 86 samples of honey of various honey producing companies for analysis. Out of these 86 samples, reports of 52 honey samples are out. At the end of the analysis, it was found that the natural components of honey have been artificially altered by adding chemical sweeteners. The possibility of adverse effects on human health by consuming this type of honey cannot be ruled out. 

FDA seized 3480.25 kg stock of honey worth Rs 36.19 lakh because of the adulteration. Here are all the brands of honey in Maharashtra which are of substandard quality. 

Zandu, Dabur, Patanjali, Saffola, Uttarakhand Honey, Baidyanath, Dilive, Apis Himalaya, Hamdard Natural blossom,  Shri Shri Tatva Baidyanath, Twigs, Twenty Four Mantra Organic, Madhupushp, Madhuban, Loose, Phondaghat, Reliance Healthy Life, Under the Mango Tree, Rasana, Organic Certified Honey, Himalaya.
