Chinese Man Chain-Smokes Through 42 km Marathon

A Chinese man named Chen completed a daunting 42 kilometre marathon in China. He chain-smoked for the entire duration of the race

A Chinese man named Chen completed a daunting 42 kilometre marathon in Shanghai, China, in three hours and 28 minutes. The event was held on 6th November. You may think, okay, this is normal. What’s so interesting about this? He was placed 574th out of more than 1,500 competitors. He chain-smoked for the entire duration of the race! He shot to fame after photos of him running the marathon while dragging his way through a pack of cigarettes were widely shared on Chinese social network Weibo. This was not the first time Chen completed a marathon in his 'signature style'. In the 2018 Guangzhou Marathon, as well as the 2019 Xiamen Marathon, Chen smoked his way through the race. But the cigarette-loving athlete only smokes when he runs. What a weird man. Running is a healthy activity, which helps to be fit and also helps to destress the mind! It is sad to see the man smoking and spoiling his health. Please do not misunderstand that just because his photos are going viral, it is cool to smoke. 

There is also another post on social media that is going viral. Jeanne Calment is the oldest person on record. She died at the age of 122. She smoked daily for 100 years, drank a glass of wine every day, ate chocolate every day, she outlived both her daughter and grandson. You may think wow even I should live that.
