CBSE Exams Cancelled All Over India

The HRD Ministry has now announced that CBSE exams will not be held in the country except for North-East Delhi.

The board exams for a few subjects of class 10 and 12 are pending due to the coronavirus lockdown. There was no clarity on when the exams would be conducted. There were rumours that the exams may be cancelled. Exams were pending for 40 subjects. Out of these 29 subjects are important subjects for promotion and admission to college. The HRD Ministry had a meeting with Education ministers of different states on Tuesday, 5th May. Delhi Deputy. Chief Minister Manish Sisodia had suggested that students be marked based on internal assessment marks as it is not possible to conduct exams now. Manish Sisodia is also the Educational Minister of Delhi Govt.

He explained that other states have other state boards also, but students in Delhi follow only CBSE. They will be more affected by the delay. CBSE exams are conducted in 25 countries across the world and the question papers are sent from India. It will not be possible to conduct exams at different times for different countries. So exams will not be conducted for students of foreign countries. Now the HRD Ministry has announced that no CBSE exams will be conducted all over India except in North-East Delhi. 

The IIT Jee (Main) exam for engineering colleges will be held from 18th - 23rd July.NEET Exams for Medical colleges will be conducted on 26th July. However, no announcements have been made about how students will receive marks for the exams that were cancelled. For college students, the University Grants Commission (UGC) is working to finalise dates of exams and will make an announcement soon.
