Bengaluru Man Dies as Friend Inserts Air Compressor Hose in His Rectum
24-year-old Yogesh died after his mechanic friend, Murali pumped air into his rectum from the air compressor machine in Bengaluru. The Bengaluru police have arrested Murali under the Indian Penal Code
A strange “prank” turned into a fatal accident in Bengaluru. On 25th March 2024, a 24-year-old delivery agent named Yogesh R wanted his Bajaj Pulsar bike repaired and washed for his sister Jayashree’s upcoming wedding. He took his bike for servicing at an automobile service center in Sampigehalli where his friend Murali worked at around 7 pm. Yogesh met Murali & requested him to fix his bike’s issues and to wash it. Murali fixed the issues and washed the bike. He was drying the bike with the air compressor machine and having a fun banter with Yogesh simultaneously. Soon both started playing with the high-powered air compressor’s pipe. Murali first aimed the nozzle at Yogesh’s face but Yogesh covered his face with his hands. Some reports say that then Yogesh turned around and bent over as a joke and Murali directed the compressor pipe to Yogesh’s anus. Other reports say that after Yogesh covered his face, Murali turned the compressor pipe towards his back and inserted the compressor hose into his rectum. Yogesh’s abdomen expanded. He fell on the ground unconscious and was bleeding from the colon. Murali rushed him to the nearest hospital. The doctors discovered severe damage to Yogesh’s intestine & rectum caused by the high-pressure hot air from the compressor. According to the doctors, while the pipe was not close to Yogesh’s colon, the air pressure & temperature was so high that it ruptured Yogesh’s anus and the high-pressure hot air entered Yogesh’s rectum & intestine. Yogesh underwent emergency surgery. When Yogesh did not return home, Jayashree called him and learned he was hospitalized. When Jayashree rushed to the hospital, Yogesh told her what had happened to him. Yogesh developed heavy breathlessness on 26th March 2024 and was shifted to another hospital. His condition worsened later and he passed away on 27th March 2024. Jayashree filed a complaint against Murali. The Bengaluru police arrested Murali under the Indian Penal Code IPC Section 304 - culpable homicide & have sent Yogesh’s body for post-mortem examination. Currently, the police are waiting for Yogesh’s post-mortem report to further investigate the case.
