Akshay Kumar received the prestigious honor of offering bhog to revered Jain Monk - Shri Hansratna Surishwarji on completing his 180-dat fast at NSCI, Mumbai on 31st March 2024.

Recently, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar had the unique privilege. He presented the bhog offering to revered Jain Monk - Shri Hansratna Surishwarji on completing his 180-day fast at NSCI, Mumbai on 31st March 2024. Shri Hansratna Surishwarji is the only monk to accomplish this fast for the 7th time, surviving only on water. According to Jain scriptures, Lord Mahavir himself fasted for 180 days twice to spread the message of peace through non-violence. Only 12 people in Jain history have completed a 180-day fast including Shri Hansratna Surishwarji. Therefore, this was a big honor for Akshay Kumar. He wore a white kurta and participated in the ceremony with devotional sincerity & humility. He bent on his knees, did pranam to Shri Hansratna Surishwarji, and then performed the fast-breaking ceremony as per the traditional Jain rituals. Later, he indulged in a polite conversation with Shri Hansratna Surishwarji too.
According to the reports, Akshay Kumar strongly believes in Shri Hansratna Surishwarji and his values of compassion and respect for spiritual traditions.
