Actor Mushtaq Khan and Comedian Sunil Pal Kidnapped?
Actors Mushtaq Khan, Sunil Pal, and Rajesh Puri were kidnapped, tortured, and extorted for money, raising doubts about a possible publicity stunt.
Recently, shocking news about the kidnapping of famous Indian actor Mushtaq Khan has gone viral on social media. Mushtaq, known for his roles in movies like Stree 2 and Welcome, revealed that he was kidnapped while attending an event in Meerut.
According to Mushtaq, he was invited to an event and paid in advance for his participation. He was also given flight tickets to travel. However, things took a dark turn when he arrived at Delhi airport. Mushtaq said he was taken in a car to a location outside the city, near Bijnor, in Uttar Pradesh, where he was held captive for 12 hours. The kidnappers demanded ?1 crore from him, torturing him during the ordeal. Eventually, they transferred more than ?2 lakh from his and his son's bank accounts.
Mushtaq managed to escape when he heard the morning azaan (call for prayer) and realised a mosque was nearby. Seeking help from locals and with the assistance of the police, he returned home safely. Mushtaq and his family were shaken by the event and he is now planning to file an FIR. He has proof of the flight tickets, bank transactions, and CCTV footage near the airport.
Interestingly, Mushtaq’s kidnapping is not an isolated incident. Just days earlier, famous comedian Sunil Pal shared a similar experience. Sunil was invited to an event in Haridwar and was supposed to travel by plane to Delhi, where a car would take him to the destination. However, when he reached Delhi airport, he was instead driven to Meerut. At a hotel there, some people claiming to be his fans kidnapped him. They covered his face with a black cloth and took him to an unknown place, demanding ?20 lakh.
After being tortured for 22 hours and threatened with a poison-filled syringe, Sunil was forced to pay ?7.5 lakh. Surprisingly, the kidnappers gave him ?20,000 for his flight and promised to pay him back once they found jobs. Sunil then made his way to Ghaziabad airport and returned to Mumbai, where he filed an FIR. The police are now investigating the case.
These two incidents seem very similar, but there is more. In September, actor Rajesh Puri had a close call. He was invited to Delhi for an event and paid ?35,000 along with a flight ticket. However, when he reached Delhi, he was picked up in a taxi, and two men were already inside. After an hour, he was transferred to another car with no number plate, and the driver was wearing a mask. The kidnappers took him toward Meerut, but when Rajesh started mentioning his connections in Delhi, they became scared. Rajesh was then dropped at the border, where his brother-in-law picked him up.
All three cases – Mushtaq, Sunil, and Rajesh – share many similarities. They were all well-known for their comedy roles, and each was kidnapped from Delhi and taken to Meerut.
So, the big question is: Is this a serious case of kidnapping, or could it be some kind of publicity stunt or film promotion?
