4 Terrorists Killed in J&K Encounter

Early this morning, four terrorists were killed in Jammu and Kashmir. Two of them were former police officers.

On Wednesday, terrorists forcefully entered the house of Nigeena Bano, and killed her. Another civilian named Mohd Sultan was injured in the attack. Two days later, early in the morning today, 4 terrorists were shot by the security forces during an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir. Among these 4, two are believed to be the special police officers who were reported missing since yesterday. This is what the officials say.

The exchange of fire started after the terrorists began firing at security personnel, and they were forced to retaliate The operation was launched together, by the army, police and CRPF in Pulwama in South Kashmir. They had received information about the presence of a terrorist there. The terrorists reportedly belonged to the Jaish-e-Mohammed. Officials say that they have found three rifles from the encounter site.

Security forces have increased the anti-terror operations in the Valley. According to reports, more than 100 terrorists, which include 23 foreigners have been killed in Kashmir from January to May 2019.

Among the terrorists killed, the highest number was 25 in Shopian. Pulwama was second with the killings of 15 terrorists, followed by Awantipora with 14. In Kulgam, 12 terrorists were killed.
