3 Students Commit Suicide in Kota in 3 Days

Three students studying for tough entrance exams in Kota commit suicide.

On Monday night, Jitesh Gupta a student from a coaching class in Kota in Rajasthan, commited suicide. He was found hanging from the ceiling fan of his hostel room.Jitesh was 17 years old. He was from Siwan district of Bihar. No suicide note was found in the room.

He had passed class 12 and was preparing for the IIT-JEE entrance exam at a very famous coaching class in Kota. Since 3 years he was studying in Kota.

Earlier this week on Sunday, Diksha Singh, also hanged herself. She was 17 years old. She was preparing for the NEET exam.16 year old Deepak Dadich was also found hanging in his room in Kota.

Students from different parts of the country go to Kota to study for entrance exams. Kota has many coaching classes that help students study for such difficult exams.

A research at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, said that the reason for so many suicides is, study stress, parental pressure, homesickness, drug abuse or liquor abuse.
