A video being shared massively on social media claims the air-conditioning on a Go First Airline flight formerly known as Go Air stopped working mid-air, causing inconvenience to the passengers, some of whom even fainted. Roshni Walia, an actor, tweeted a video on 14th June 2022 of a Go First flight from Uttarakhand to Mumbai. In the video it can be seen that passengers were using the safety instruction card as a handheld fan. A woman is seen crying because of the heat building up inside the aircraft in a peak summer month. Ms Walia tweeted, "G8 2316 was one of the worst experiences. With AC not working and a full flight, suffocation-struck passengers had no way out, sweating profusely, paranoid passengers were on the verge of collapsing. 3 people fainted, a chemo patient couldn't even breathe."

In the video another passenger was heard saying, “ Everybody is feeling so hot...flight took off at 5:30, it's 6:20 now, yet the AC is not working. A cancer patient is feeling claustrophobic. The flight should never have taken off if the AC wasn't working. We paid ? 12,000 for a one-way ticket. For what? Please do something, take action, Go First.” Go First replied to her tweet, asking her to share her travel details (PNR, contact number etc) so that the airline can take a look into the matter. Some Twitter users tagged the civil aviation regulator DGCA to investigate the matter. Go First is the aviation business of Wadia Group. Wadia Group is one of the oldest conglomerates in India and they are in diverse (many different businesses) industries. The airline calls itself a low-cost carrier that aims to make air travel affordable and accessible to the people. However, such an experience is definitely something no passenger ever dreams of.
