In Nepal, Dr. Ruit performed a miraculous surgery on a 13-year-old bold that brought his eyesight back. The extremely emotional video of him seeing for the first time has gone viral all over social me

Roshan Theeng is a 13-year-old boy in Nepal. When Roshan was in Class II, cataracts affected both of his pupils and he completely lost his sight in the later years. Roshan's life has not been easy. Two years ago his mother died due to HIV-related complications. Now his father is bedridden due to HIV as well. Thankfully, he and his grandmother are not HIV-positive. He could never walk by himself. So one day his grandmother carried him on her back to a free eye camp. This camp was organized by the Hetauda Community Hospital in Makwanpur, Nepal.

At the camp they met Dr Sanduk Ruit. He performed an amazing surgery that was extremely inexpensive. Dr. Ruit took only 15-minutes to operate on cataract.A video of him opening his eyes has gone viral all over social media. After they removed his bandages and Roshan realized his eyesight is back, he shouted, "I can go to school again!". He then started touching Dr. Ruit’s face. Dr. Ruit became very emotional. He removed his glasses and hugged the boy. He said that he was being blessed by the gods.

When he spoke to the media Dr. Ruit said that Roshan’s expression of happiness was very strong.  All the patients and their relatives could feel his strong emotions. Many shared the video. People all over the world were touched by his reaction. Some even said that the doctor was God. Dr. Ruit told that he has days when he is very busy but never feels tired. In Nepal a doctor's job is very difficult. However there are a lot of opportunities to serve others. One just needs to be patient.
