YouTuber Showed Off Gold and Wealth Online, Thieves Later Stole Jewellery Worth Lakhs
Popular YouTuber Rachna Gurjar's home was robbed of valuables worth ?7–8 lakh, sparking debate over whether social media posts can make people targets for crime.
Popular Madhya Pradesh YouTuber Rachna Gurjar, known for showcasing her lavish lifestyle, became the victim of a daring theft on 8 June.
The incident came to light around 2:30 am when her husband, Udal Singh Gurjar, discovered that their room had been locked from the outside. After family members helped them get out, they found cupboards broken open and valuables missing.
According to reports, thieves stole around ?7–8 lakh worth of cash, gold and silver jewellery, household items—and surprisingly, even 72 cans of Red Bull.
Investigators believe the thieves were well-prepared. CCTV cameras inside the house had been tilted towards the ceiling, preventing clear footage from being recorded.
This led many online users to speculate that the criminals may have gathered information from Rachna's social media videos, where she frequently displayed her home and valuables.
While the case has sparked debate about the risks of sharing luxury lifestyles online, police have not confirmed any link between the theft and her content. An investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been announced so far.
