Wrestler Bites Ravi Kumar Dahiya at Tokyo Olympics

Indian wrestler Ravi Kumar Dahiya was in the wrestling semifinals at the 2020 Olympics being held in Tokyo, Japan. He was against Nurislam Sanayev from Kazakhstan. In the beginning of the match Sanayev scored many points but Dahiya did not lose hope. There was very strong competition between the two of them. Both played very strongly. At one point, Dahiya Sanayev down. Sanayev tried very hard to push him off and then bite Dahiya on his upper arm. Still Dahiya did not let him go. It was a very tough match but Dahiya won and has now qualified for the finals. 

He is the 2nd Indian wrestler to qualify for the wrestling finals in the Olympics after wrestler Sushil Kumar who was the first to qualify in the finals back in the 2012 London Olympics. Dahiya will now take on Zaur Uguev of Russia in the final on August 5 and can potentially become India's second-ever individual gold medallist after Abhinav Bindra who was the first Indian to win a gold medal back in the 2008 Beijing Olympics.  India sealed a 5-4 win against Germany in their men's hockey bronze medal match at the ongoing Tokyo Olympics. The Indian hockey team has won a bronze medal at the Olympics after 41 years!
