WhatsApp to Stop Working on Some Phones

The popular social messaging App WhatsApp has been in the news lately with reports suggesting many phone may now stop supporting the App.

WhatsApp today has not only become the biggest instant messaging service in the world, but has also become an essential part of most of our daily lives.WhatsApp has been unavailable for download on the Microsoft Store since July 1, 2019.Now WhatsApp will stop working on Windows Phones after December 31, 2019 for those who have already downloaded WhatsApp.This means if you own a Nokia Lumia or a similar handset, you may not be able to create a new account from today i.e. January 1.

WhatsApp has announced that it will also stop working on all mobiles that have Android 2.3.7 and versions as well from February 1, 2020.This will be the same for Apple mobiles gave iOS 8 and older versions. WhatsApp will not immediately stop working on Windows, ANdroid and Apple phones.  But the app will not receive any further updates.People will not be able to create a new account or re-verify an existing one. WhatsApp has also said that some of the features "may stop functioning at any time."
