Vizag Deaf Community Donates Money For COVID-19

Visakha District Association of the Deaf (VDAD), have raised Rs 2,20,020 for the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Relief Fund.

Visakha District Association of the Deaf (VDAD), founded in 1986 has been working for the Deaf community for 35 years now. VDAD’s aim is to advocate for Deaf rights, provide accessibility and prioritise Deaf individuals. They also help Deaf individuals for employment, sports and various activities. 

During the unforgiving summers VDAD helped the poor by providing chaas. Now due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the VDAD collected donations from various districts in Visakhapatnam. They collected money from Deaf government & private company employees. The donations were collected from various districts of Visakhapatnam. A total of Rs 2,20,020 was collected. Once all the money was collected, it was handed over to the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Relief Fund through a cheque. Cheers to VDAD and their effort. We are very happy and proud.
