Virat Kohli, who has 211 million Instagram followers, became the first cricketer to reach 50 million followers on Twitter.

Indian Cricketer & former captain Virat Kohli is already the highest followed individual in Asia on Instagram.

Now, the Indian star batsman, Virat Kohli, who has 211 million Instagram followers, became the first cricketer to reach 50 million followers on Twitter. The 33-year-old is the most followed cricketer in the world and the third most followed sports person on Instagram after Cristiano Ronaldo with 450 Million and  Lionel Messi with 330 Million followers. Kohli also has over 49 million followers on Facebook, which takes his social media presence to over 310 million followers, combining all the three platforms.

Kohli stormed back to form in the recently concluded Asia Cup 2022, ending up as India's top scorer and the tournament's second-highest run-getter with two fifties and a century. Before the tournament, Kohli had revealed that he did not touch his bat for a month, which happened the first time he started playing professional cricket. "I know there was a lot of stuff going on outside, but they really kept my perspective right and I kissed my ring in the celebrations as well. You see me standing like this right now and all the things being put in perspective have been done by one person, who stood by me through all these difficult times, that is Anushka," Virat Kohli said.
