Urfi Javed Arrested by Mumbai Police?

A viral video of Urfi Javed being "arrested" for her clothing was actually a promotional stunt, not a real arrest by Mumbai Police.

A video went viral on social media which showed Urfi Javed being taken away by two female police officers for wearing a backless red top and jeans at a coffee shop. In the video, the women cops approached Urfi Javed and asked her to accompany them to the police station. When the actor-influencer asked why, they said: ““Itne chote-chote kapde pehen ke kaun ghumta hai? (who walks around wearing such short clothes?)” Many assumed that Javed had actually been arrested by Mumbai Police for wearing short clothes and were upset with the police. Mumbai Police quickly clarified on X, “One Can’t Violate Law Of The Land, For Cheap Publicity! A viral video of a woman being allegedly arrested by Mumbai Police, in a case of obscenity is not true - insignia & uniform has been misused" “However, a case has been registered against those involved in the misleading video, at Oshiwara Police Station. While further investigation is on, the fake inspector is under arrest & the vehicle has been seized too.”
Urfi shared a video on her Instagram account in which she sported numerous looks and posed behind bars. She shared the video with the caption, “Arrested by the fashion police for my fierce fashion game, but nothing can stop me! Excited to announce FREAKIN’ UORFICATION my collection launch with @Freakinsindia.” Urfi Javed's ‘arrest’ video was created as a promotional content for a fashion brand. This is not the first time that Urfi landed in trouble. Last month, a complaint was filed against Urfi for her fashion choices at the Bandra Police Station. The actress had made her way to the police station soon after.
