Uddhav & Kejriwal Request Vaccination For All Citizens

Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Wednesday requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to allow all people over the age of 45, with or without comorbidities, to get vaccinated.

On Wednesday 17th March,  Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a virtual meeting with all the CM of India. During the meeting, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray requested Modi to allow all people over the age of 45, with or without comorbidities, to get vaccinated. He also said, “The centres or hospitals, which are willing and have the capacity to administer vaccines, should be allowed to do so. While many private hospitals in Maharashtra have also registered for vaccination, a decision will be taken after checking how many are actually prepared for it. Efforts will be made to vaccinate up to 3 lakh people daily,” Thackeray also said that Haffkine Bio-Pharmaceutical Corporation which is owned by Maharashtra government must be allowed to produce vaccines. Uddhav also requested the state government to seek permission to initiate home vaccination. During the meeting Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal requested Modi by saying:  "Apart from those below 18...everybody should be able to get vaccinated. Allow walk-in vaccinations at all centers for everybody in Delhi. If all this is allowed and we get sufficient supply, then according to our plan, we will be able to vaccinate whole of Delhi in three months,"
