Twisha Sharma Case Update: Missing Belt, Viral Audio and Salon CCTV Raise More Questions

Twisha Sharma’s death case has sparked nationwide outrage as shocking allegations, controversial evidence questions, and multiple investigations continue.

Last week, ISH News shared the heartbreaking case of 31-year-old Twisha Sharma from Noida, who was found dead in Bhopal just five months after marrying advocate Samarth Singh in December 2025. Since then, the case has sparked nationwide outrage and intense public debate.

Twisha’s family alleged that she faced emotional harassment, financial pressure, and repeated conflicts after marriage. The case gained major attention after a purported audio clip surfaced between Twisha’s brother, Major Harshit Sharma, and her mother-in-law, Giribala Singh. In the recording, Harshit questioned humiliating remarks allegedly made toward Twisha about her character and past relationships. Many people online felt she was being morally judged inside her marital home.

Another major point of discussion was CCTV footage showing Twisha visiting a salon just hours before her death. Viewers online noted that she did not appear visibly distressed, raising questions because her mother-in-law had publicly claimed she was mentally unwell. Reports also alleged that after Twisha’s death, repeated requests were made to access the salon’s CCTV footage and records. However, police have not officially confirmed any evidence tampering.

As media attention grew, Giribala Singh gave interviews making controversial allegations about Twisha’s personal life, mental health, and lifestyle. Twisha’s family strongly denied these claims and accused the other side of attempting to damage her image after her death.

Meanwhile, Samarth Singh, who was earlier reported absconding, was arrested from the Jabalpur district court premises. Reports claimed courtroom lights were switched off and doors locked before police finally took him into custody, further intensifying public suspicion online.

Questions were also raised over CCTV evidence from the house, as reports said the DVR timestamps were significantly behind actual time. Another major controversy involved the “missing belt” allegedly used in the hanging, which reportedly was not provided during the post-mortem examination, preventing doctors from properly comparing injury marks.

As outrage continued to grow, the Supreme Court took suo motu cognisance of the matter due to concerns around evidence handling and fairness of the investigation. Social media campaigns and hashtags like #JusticeForTwisha continue to trend across the country.

At present, the SIT investigation and forensic examination are ongoing. Samarth Singh has been arrested, and no court has declared anyone guilty so far.
